The Black and White Tomboy Cake.  There, I finally settled on a name for my signature cake.  It is my favorite cake.  It is my family’s favorite cake.  It is the cake that I get the most requests to make for events.  It is an organic, non-fussy cake:  no dyes to poison the body or frilly frosting on the side to overwhelm the palate and end up in the trash.  It is a cake recipe that I have lovingly tweaked over the years to eye-rolling, chocolatey-buttery yumminess.  It is a cake that I need absolutely no provocation to make.  It is the cake responsible for more broken diets, more waistline battles than all other tempting foods combined. Therefore, it needed a name, besides “Hey, you!”  Last week it was called Cohco’s Birthday Cake (The Dairy-free Version).  Happy Birthday and Bon Appetit!
