Week in Pictures

With all of the negativity, fear and anger out there in the media, I have made a commitment to not get sucked in, to not to be a part of the problem.  Hollering out one’s convictions without being open to hearing all sides never changed anyone’s convictions. Ever. I choose to dwell on what is rarely reported on, what I believe is in the majority (but journalistically boring):  what is light and good and beautiful.  I cannot change the world at large, but I can control how I respond and act in my sphere of influence:  my family, neighborhood and community.  There is a ripple effect into the greater world.  I have faith in that.

So, on my 48th birthday, I made it a goal to actively seek out 3 things each day that I find beautiful, or for which I am thankful.  And when I encounter them, I say the words, “Thank you.”  Here are pictures of some of those things from this week.

Peace.

Kiddo said, "Let's pick some flowers!" So we did, and we stuck in a forgotten silver coffee pot and tray I dragged out of the basement.
